Why I Blog

Originally, my goal was to improve my English writing, and then I discovered that blogging was both creative and enjoyable. I also hope that my daughters will read it someday.

But that’s not all; as a Scorpio, I find joy in helping others apply what I’ve learned, even if it’s a bit egotistical.

Lately, I’ve had more time to read, and I’ve had conversations with my two supportive mentors and friends. These interactions have given me energy and ideas for my posts.

Just yesterday, I finally identified some of my long-desired passions. It turns out that what I was searching for was within me all along. I feel truly content now that I don’t have to look outside anymore.

Limit the Information You Take in

I found an intriguing article. It’s an experiment on just eight people, but interesting if true.

In fact, I have friends and acquaintances who look much younger than their actual age. They are probably not concerned about ageing or changes to their bodies and do not take anti-ageing supplements. Perhaps the concept of ‘aging’ is not in their minds. Moreover, one of my friends has completely forgotten how old she is.
Fortunately, I don’t like TV and I don’t have that many friends who talk about aging, so I am not affected by it and I have very little aging except for my presbyopia. My presbyopia is not so bad that I have to wear glasses and I have recovered from it in the past with training, so I believe this presbyopia will get better in time.

The information on FB and X is so mixed that it is difficult to select only positive information to look at. In that sense, I think it is best to avoid them unless you are in a very high energy state.

Embracing the Gentle Flow

I believe that new actions and fresh thoughts can serve as a catalyst for overcoming stagnation. However, if you simply commit to doing something every day without thoughtful consideration—treating it like routine work—you might expend unnecessary energy and miss out on opportunities for new experiences.

Thankfully, my work varies slightly each day, and my office hours remain flexible based on my tasks. As I’ve become more attuned to my inner self, I’ve noticed that I engage in different activities daily. Additionally, I intentionally consume less information and music, which I believe is a step in the right direction.

A Month of Mindful Choices and Magical Moments

It has been approximately a month since I became particularly attuned to my inner self. Surprisingly, the frequency of moments when I feel happy has significantly increased, even without any extraordinary efforts.

Additionally, I now allocate more time to deliberate choices—whether it’s selecting the music I listen to or the food I eat. This mindful approach has set off a positive chain reaction, resulting in more satisfying outcomes.

Recently, I began practicing intention-setting. On the very first day, I set three specific goals, one of which was finding a pink car. Remarkably, I achieved two of these goals within just 10 hours, and the process itself was filled with magical moments beyond my expectations. These experiences also provided fresh insights into what triggers my happiness.

As June unfolds, I’ve compiled a list of things I aim to accomplish during this month. It feels like I’m gradually mastering the art of making each day more enjoyable and meaningful.

How to Change the Past

Here’s how to change a negative memory into a positive one, I found this on YouTube and it’s very impressive.

Of course, you can’t change the facts, but you can change the impression of your memories.

1) Uplift your feelings by treating yourself, such as going to a favorite place, having a fun time with your friends.

2) Intentionally remind yourself of negative memory.
This usually does not happen because negative memories and your high frequency do not match at the same time. So, do it intentionally. When you do, you will notice that it is no longer a sad memory, with new realizations, such as that the action you did and regretted was the result of your best effort.

By focusing on the present, you can change the past as well as the future.

Energy Travels across Places

I think there is such a thing as “mind to mind”. I am sure you have all had the experience that when we send a message, the other person thinks the same thing.

In fact, I have thought about expressing my gratitude to someone. Of course, it is fine to express gratitude in a message, but I thought that simply feeling the feeling of appreciation would be more genuine and accurate in conveying my gratitude to the recipient. Moreover, if I sent a lot of messages, they would be annoyed, but with my energy, that should not be the case.

Also, my energy will certainly change. Actually, I am experiencing it right now.

Morning Cleaning

As part of a new morning routine, I have started ‘zokin-gake’, which is a traditional Japanese cleaning method where you get down on your knees with a wet rag and scrub. The area is from the entrance, corridor, stairs, washroom and toilet, which takes around 15 minutes. By the way, if the floor is swept with a broom before this, no vacuum cleaner is needed.

It is a true meditation, and Shinto priests say such cleaning makes you a lucky person.
I really like this habit, which can be done quietly and cleans the room and mind, and also makes a great start each day.

Neutrality

Time flies. Since my last post, many things have happened in my life.

Just last week, I came across and re-read a book by Hohoko Asami, who happened to be the author of “The Law of Attraction” over 20 years ago. It was quite surprising that I read it about 20 years ago for the first time! I thought I understood it, but I was not ready at all. Through ages and experience, I can understand her arguments. It is the same as any other spiritual teaching. What’s more, I have upgraded myself.

I have some experiences which were more wonderful than I could have hoped for. There were no expectations, no negative feelings of ego or attachment. As a result, I was able to create a better reality.

One of my mentors says that the highest frequency is “neutrality”. Now I fully understand. So, how do I get it? There seem to be many ways. I will write about them a little later.

One Lucky Day

I had worked for three companies after I came back to Tokyo last September. The first one was what I liked, but the salary was not able to cover all my expenses. Others were black, so to speak, such as no over-work payment, power-harassment, and the like.

I was also not that happy with the relationship with my daughters. I was kind of at the bottom at that time. Luckily, my friend gave a counseling session that cleared up the root causes I had made and advised me to go on a good direction trip with some dates I should leave, the direction I should travel, and what to do there. That enlightened me and uplifted my spirit and realized I should do it more often when needed and when it’s possible.

I felt like my energy was too low to book a hotel, but I made it somehow. Right before the trip, I emailed my resume to some HR agents my friend introduced. I was on top of the world when one agent worked quickly and efficiently and I got a job offer only four days after I sent my CV. I also knew what I needed at work, so it didn’t take time for me to decide. I grabbed the opportunity as I believe the saying, “strike while the iron is hot!”

Working for a non-Japanese company is my first experience ever. My standard is high since the first company I worked for has an advanced working culture and most people work well and happily except for a long working-time. It seems like they have improved it now though. Even so, I can tell that my current work is the best. I have so much freedom regarding working time and place. My boss speaks in good Japanese, which saves my energy when I am slammed, also helps my work to proceed, and cares for me. In addition, I truly appreciate his trust in me.

I’ve come to realize that the benefit of a good direction trip should last for 60 years. In my friend’s experience, it should be more than two nights. What’s more, the effect goes for people around you. This time, my friend got a promotion. My relationship with my daughters have developed a lot and we have a harmonious relationship. I believe that a good direction trip is the most worth investing in.
